Hazel Vintage Co. Chevron Scarves

Woo, our first outfit post on Hello Kim and Kat! Kind of crazy to think back to the months leading up to the launch of this blog and all the ideas that Kim and I had originally jotted down in our notebooks (err, OneNote for Kim ;) that girl loves her organized OneNote) for this joint blog. We're most excited to see how our style translates from one closet to another, sharing a single piece and seeing how it gets styled in each of our own unique ways.

Last month, Kim (with the help of Mitch), put together one of the cutest outfits with Hazel Vintage Co to style one of their most popular chevron print scarves. I still remember the day that she styled her purple chevron scarf. We went on one of our usual bubble tea runs and she had the biggest grin on her face. She pulled out a package hiding in the backseat of her car and said, "KAT!! I HAVE SOMETHING I NEED TO TELL YOU!!" and proceeded to voluntell me that we were going to do a Kim vs Kat style off with some amazing scarves. As if my day wasn't already awesome enough for getting to see Kim during a crazy day, she surprised us with a fun project-- And an entire category of posts that we're both super excited to collaborate on together!

Hello World!

Hello World! Hello Friends!

We are Kim (in blue) and Kat (in red) and we are SO EXCITED to welcome you to our new blog, Hello Kim and Kat!!! We met this year and bonded over being women in tech with fashion blogs (Kim's and Kat's). We started out by meeting up for the occasional outfit photo swap (fellow bloggers, you know what's up!) Over the last few months our friendship has blossomed into weekly bubble tea booty calls, heart to hearts, public displays of shenanigans at local-area Targets and gushing over the new must-haves of the season. Whenever we're together, it's like one insane mind meld of creativity! We've started this blog to document all of our projects and fun times together. You can really just consider this a diary between best friends. Except anyone can read it :)

We'll share more about ourselves in the next couple of posts, but by way of introduction, here are a few of the things we look forward to sharing with you on this blog:

Style, Fashion, Trends, etc.
We each have VERY different styles. Kat is all about beautiful basics put together with an edge. Her outfits are typically accentuated with a cool piece of jewelry or glorious shoes that can be considered must-have staples in anyone's closet. Kim is an adventurous dresser and you'll usually see her prancing around in heels, a dress and a lot of color. She loves anything that makes her feel feminine and fierce. As you'll see, we're on opposite ends of the style spectrum, but more often than not we are attracted to similar pieces when we're out shopping together. With our outfit posts, you'll get double the inspiration when we show off multiple ways to style a piece.

A guide to Seattle and beyond!
We love living in the PNW and discovering and rediscovering wonderful places to eat, hang out, have fun and explore. We're always planning our next adventure and we hope you're able to discover new places along with us!
